What we're looking for
Your job is to make sure we find bugs before the customer does. You'll do this with manual testing, working with engineers to develop automated testing, reviewing designs to see if they're likely to cause quality issues, and anything else you come up with. Our ideal candidate has a strong sense of ownership and enjoys owning projects from inception to production. We value people who take pride in their work and show an aptitude for learning quickly whether they’re familiar with our stack or not.
Responsibilities
- Create guidelines for company quality standards for the developers
- Ensure products meet these standards
- Implement both manual and automated test scripts
- Research and identify possible solutions to software bugs or problems
- Follow up on issues to ensure the software development team makes necessary corrections to the product prior to release to the client
- Keep detailed documentation and records of all test cases
- Ensure the entire development team meets all necessary timelines and due dates
- Conduct thorough security testing to ensure software and system security
- Verify that finished products meet all government regulations and market guidelines
- Manage the release of the software or application and follow up on further releases and corrections
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience doing software QA
- Understanding and utilization of QA methodologies
- Familiarity with testing and test planning with automation tools and scripts
- Ability to create and execute test cases for software in development to check code for bugs and problems
- Ability to identify and document any bugs or problems found during testing
- Understanding and practice of Agile methodologies
